Steamboat Dance Theater – Annual Concert

Billo Premium Cannabis is extremely proud to support our community dancers. The mission of the Steamboat Dance Theater is simple:

To engage, educate, and enrich the communities of the Yampa Valley through dance and movement.

The Annual Community Dance Concert invites community members to produce, choreograph, and perform in a dance concert. The concert features dancers of all skill sets and a wide variety of dance styles. The Concert is a well-attended community event.

Steamboat Dance Theater is maintains a vibrant culture of dance in the Yampa Valley, where anyone who wants to dance is able to do so.

Performances will be held April 6th, 7th, and 8th. Show begins at 7pm with a Saturday matinee performance at 1pm.

Steamboat Dance Theatre (SDT) was founded in 1972 by a small group of local dancers who wanted to host a community dance performance. In the early years, SDT had 12 members and was couched under the umbrella of the Steamboat Arts Council. Over the past 47 years, the organization has grown significantly in both programs and membership and has become its own fully operational 501(c)3 organization. In addition to hosting a local community dance performance, SDT now offers a wide array of dance programs that aim to enrich, enhance and educate the community. SDT now has an average membership base of 130-150 people, a healthy financial profile, an active and involved Board, a part-time Executive Director, and a strong reputation in the community.
